Principal's Message:

Stephen Leacock is here to meet the needs of all our students. Whatever your destination, we are here to help you. We offer courses that lead to all four destinations; workplace, college, apprenticeship and university. We provide additional support for students who need extra help; all the way to Advanced Placement Calculus! The Athletic Department is very active, and has teams for most sports running in the Toronto District School Board. In addition to althletics, we have many other clubs and groups to meet the varied interests of most students. Our Student Council also provides students with great leadership opportunities.

Leacock also offers a Magnet Television, Broadcast and media program that takes students from all across the TDSB. With its well equipped facilities, the students transmit our daily announcements and special events each day to televisions in every classroom. This unique program prepares students to be in front of the camera or behind it covering all aspects of the television industry. Many well known people have successfully completed this program, including actor Mike Myers.

We are proud to be one of the most cultural diverse schools in the Toronto District School Board and as such, we have a variety of culturally based groups and events. We are a safe, small high school, that is lucky to have a School-Based Resource Officer. Our feeder school, John Buchan, is physically a part of our school so our grade seven and eight students do not have to experience the transition fears that many students go through.
